Why promote your books with My Book Cave

I'm a book wyrm
We hope you enjoy reading this post!
If you’re like us and love to read, then click here to score tons of free and discounted ebooks.

Are you looking to promote your books? We have a lot of great benefits for authors here at Book Cave, and even more opportunities coming up that you won’t want to miss. Come and take a look!

A growing subscriber email list

We have a list of avid readers that we email every day about books matching their genre and content rating preferences.  You can see our current reach through email here, and it’s growing daily. These are readers who WANT your books and are eagerly looking for more authors to enjoy and follow.

See how many subscribers we have total and broken down into different genres here.

A wide social media reach

In addition to our subscriber list, we also reach tens of thousands of readers through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We use social media to connect with readers, find more readers, and promote your books!

See our social media reach here or check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

Easy-to-navigate website

We also keep your book on our site for the entire sale. And our site is easy to navigate, so you don’t get lost in pages of other posts. Too many other sites are simply blogs with no friendly way for readers to find the books they’re interested in. Almost without exception, we register click-throughs on every book every day they are on our site.

Content ratings

With our movie-like content ratings, you can reach the readers who want books just like yours. No more bad reviews for unexpected content. We love to connect the right readers with the right books.

Read more about our content-rating system here.

Competitive pricing

Because we want to continue to grow and reach even more readers, there is a small fee to promote your books. But the amount is less than you’ll find at other promotion sites, and we still get your book a lot of exposure. We do all we can to put your books in front of readers who want your content.

See our pricing here.

Author dashboard

We want it to be easy for you to promote your books, so we’ve created author dashboards. When you sign in, all the books you have submitted in the past will be on your dashboard, ready to submit for another promotion at the click of a mouse. You can also edit the information of previously submitted books directly on your dashboard.

View your author dashboard here (you must sign in to view your submissions).

More ways for authors to connect with readers

We have several projects in the works to help authors connect with their readers on Book Cave. We’re currently working on author pages: each author will have their own page that will contain a bio, a picture, status updates, their list of books, and comments from readers. We will also be including links where readers can sign up to be notified when your books are on sale at Book Cave and when you have new releases.

And who doesn’t need more reviews? We’re also working on ways to help you find readers to review your books.

Subscriber/reader magnet (giveaways)

We’ve created a portal where authors can give free books (also called reader/subscriber magnets) directly to readers who sign up for their newsletters. If you’d like, you can create different links for each new promotion you do in order to track your success. You can require readers to sign up for your newsletter or just give them the book—it’s your choice. We collect the email addresses and you download them at your convenience. Once readers click on the book, our helpful menus walk them through downloading the book so you don’t have to worry about it.

This service is currently free, but of course it won’t be free forever (hey, we gotta pay the bills), but when we do start charging, the small fee will save you money compared with other sites. We’ll be marketing your books to our subscribers and website visitors. Stay tuned for more updates!

A second, permanent listing on our sister site

When you promote with Book Cave, your submission is also permanently posted on our sister site, My Book Ratings, free of charge. My Book Ratings is a community rating site where books receive a rating from authors and readers. Books can also receive an official rating from the MBR team on request.

Books on My Book Ratings can be sorted by genre or by content rating, and readers often find books to buy and authors to follow on My Book Ratings. In addition, your books on the My Book Ratings site will link to your author pages on Book Cave.

Tutorials for authors

Because we’re dedicated not only to helping authors reach the right readers but also to offering support in creating great books, we have many tutorials for authors posted on our author blog. These tutorials range from grammar and editing tips to cover design, typesetting, and ebook creation. If you have a question about writing, publishing, or book creation, we’d love to create a new tutorial for the subject. Just let us know.

Check out our author blog here.

Fun blog posts about reading

We have an informative and fun blog for readers about book-related subjects and ideas. And this reader blog is open to you if you’d like to post a unique guest blog. Each guest blog has a bio and links to the authors website and social media, and we promote it through social media.

Check out our reader blog here.

A responsive and helpful team

Of course, none of this would be possible without the great team here at Book Cave. We’re dedicated to helping authors and readers, and we love to hear feedback and questions. We usually respond to emails within two business days and will work hard to help you with any issue you may run into.

Come on over to Book Cave to promote your books!
