Biography
George Sabela was born in South Africa in
a township called Soweto in the Gauteng
province. He holds a Bachelor of Health
Sciences and Social Welfare degree from
Unisa. He was a member of the Brothers of
Charity as a religious and left after ten years. He
spent 18 months in an ecumenical monastery in
France living with various young people from
all the continents. Whilst in France, he had an
opportunity to visit countries such as Germany
and The Netherlands to prepare for the European
prayer meetings
in big cities like Munich and Stuttgart. In 2000, he
went to Belgium for a two-year religious formation.
He also went to Nairobi, Kenya, for a period of three
months for a spiritual course.
