Description
Vanessa’s going to make it big as a pop singer. The problem is no one else seems to understand that (What is wrong with everybody?). Met with dead ends at every turn, she’s tempted to quit. Or turn to her father’s hearty bank account for help. But before she gets that desperate, Harrison, a mutual acquaintance, takes her to a last-minute tryout for a singing competition that lands her on a reality show she’s sure will be a cinch to win.
Not exactly ideal, but it’s the first time Vanessa’s had to be a beggar and apparently, they can’t be choosy.
Harrison is far from the type of man Vanessa typically dates, but he has an adorable smile and the kind of quirks that make him endearing instead of, you know, weird. Too bad she’s not the only one to notice—another singer with artificially enhanced lips, cheap hair extensions, and the determination to win at any cost swoops in and steals Harrison’s attention.
Oh, it’s on.
Winning the competition is on the line, but persuading Harrison that Vanessa’s the one for him would be the biggest prize of all.
