My jaw dropped. Was he crazy? I read the sentence again.
“I’m reading the Bible in a month . . .”
Yep, Theron was definitely crazy. I admired his dreams and dedication and moved on. But the idea stuck with me. A Bible in a month. That would be an incredible accomplishment. I could only imagine the things you would learn and the way it would change a person, being continually submerged in so much Scripture.
A year — and three read-throughs later — I’m here to tell you it is possible. Yes, while working a job. Yes, while going to school. Yes, while getting a proper amount of sleep. Yes, while still spending time with friends and family. Yes, without going insane.
I’m not saying this isn’t a little crazy. It is. But it’s not so crazy that it’s impossible. It’s not so crazy that doing it has to wreck your life. It’s gonna disrupt it, definitely. It will force you to prioritize, learn time management, and be self-disciplined. But those are pretty beneficial traits that will help you in every area of life.
