Have you ever lost track of a favorite book from your childhood because you can’t remember the title or author? Do you have the story on the tip of your tongue? Can you explain the plot, describe the cover, or know the era, but just can’t remember the one detail you need in order to actually find the book? We’ve been there and know exactly how frustrating this can be. Below are a few tips we’ve used when searching for a lost book we love.
Tips to Find a Book When You Don’t Know the Title or Author
If you’re currently suffering from a case of book amnesia, try some of these tricks to see if they can spark your memory and help you remember more than a vague cover image or a quirky side character you loved.
First, Wrack Your Brain for Book Memories
When it comes to finding a book you have only a vague recollection of, you need to fish out everything you can possibly remember about it from your memories. Answer the below questions to see if they help you recover any additional information about your book.
- What did the cover look like? Do you only remember a fuzzy image that’s predominately one color? Even that is a clue! If you think hard, do you remember any elements on it? Was the author’s name in large print, or was the title large? Any of these details can be the difference between success or failure.
- Can you remember a phrase, quote, or a particular paragraph of the book? Sometimes you can remember lines you felt were funny or meaningful or just plain weird. Write them down as best you can for your search. Odds are that same phrase may have stood out to someone else too.
- What can you remember from the plot? Even if you’re not entirely confident, write down what you think you remember. You might find your memory looks something like “boy gets kidnapped. Girl best friend says she’ll find him. I think she becomes a detective at some point or runs into him later in life and they fall in love. The boy may be involved in drugs or something sketchy when she runs into him. I think at one point he wakes up in a dumpster.” Even though you’re not one hundred percent certain, you can try different searches with the elements you think are there and hopefully in one combination, you’ll get a hit. Or, hopefully your details will be close enough that someone else can piece the elements together.
- Can you remember any characters’ names? Remembering one or two of the characters’ names will also be a huge help in your search. Even if they’re side characters and not main characters, write them down.
- What genre was it? If it was fantasy, do you remember any details to narrow it down to a subcategory of fantasy?
- Do you remember any other story-related details, like a city name, street, location, pet, era, etc.?
- Do you remember any details related to publishing? Do you remember whether your school or library that you got the book from often bought books from a certain publisher? Do you remember when the book was published? For example, if it was a book you read from your childhood, then you know you can exclude any recent publications. Or, perhaps you remember that it was a new book that came out when you were in high school, then you’ll know to look for books published only in those few years. Do you remember any other similar authors that people seemed to also read if they liked the book you’re trying to remember?
Remember to write down as much information as you can, and maybe you’ll remember some more details in the process of finding your lost book.
Google and Other Search Engines
When you first try to search for a forgotten novel, you probably turn to Google or a similar search engine. Unfortunately, your average search may not be able to get you the results you’re looking for. Because of the vast volume of novels with similar plot elements and various SEO tactics and companies skewing the search results to favor their products, unless the book you’re searching for happens to be one of the most popular books of its kind, you’re going to have to do a deep Google.
Let me explain. If you’re looking for a book about mermaids, but you’re definitely not looking for something super popular like Disney’s The Little Mermaid, you may become frustrated that no matter what variation of “mermaid” search terms you try, you still find Little Mermaid results popping up on top because Disney can afford to pay people a lot of money to make sure their products stay on top of the search results.
So when searching for a forgotten novel, you’ll often have to use all the different details you remember from the book with Google’s different search functions. For example, quotations will be your friend to make sure Google doesn’t try to eliminate distinguishing details. The addition symbol will be useful for linking multiple elements into one search. Try using the Advanced Google Search Page with filters like subject, publisher, language, and publication date as well. Another tip is to always check the image results. If you’re on the right track, then sometimes an image result will appear more quickly than general search results. There are other advanced Google search skills that you can give a try too, like excluding specific keywords or using the wildcard operator to guess the name of a character.
Google Books Search
The Google Books Library Project now makes it possible to find books by searching through their text and content. The Books Search reference page also displays book specific information like various covers, tables of content, common terms and phrases, and popular passages from the books. You can quickly view sample pages to ensure that the book you’ve found is the book you’ve been looking for.
There are several other book databases you can find as well, such as Book Finder, Word Cat, LibraryThing, Book Sleuth, Goodreads, Amazon’s Advanced Book Search, and Library of Congress. However, if you haven’t been able to find the book you’re looking for with a Google search, you probably don’t have enough information to find it in one of these databases either. If you want to give some of these a try though, these are some of the ones we find the most useful.
- Book Cave: This site has the unique feature of being able to search through a rated books database. So if you know a book was a children’s book, you can avoid any adult rated book. Or if you know it’s an adult rated book you can exclude anything milder.
- The Library of Congress: This the biggest online library in the world and has a search engine capable of combining search parameters with keywords. There’s also an interesting option called “Ask a Librarian” where you can send an email and try asking for help in finding your book.
- Worldcat: Worldcat is a catalog of over 70 thousand libraries in 160 countries. Here you can look for a specific keyword, and you’ll get a list of book titles in various languages. There’s also a “Fiction Finder” section where you can search for a book by a character or place in addition to a keyword.
- Big Book Search: If you can only remember what the cover looks like, try this cover-search tool.
- If you can remember just one word of the title, use the search function on Goodreads or Library Thing to find long lists of titles with a particular word.
- Goodreads’ browse-able lists of titles that readers have shelved in unique categories, such as authors’ professions or decades of publication, may also be helpful.
Turn to Reddit or Other Popular Book Forums
Is there anything that the people of the internet don’t know? If computerized searches fail and you need a personalized touch, there are thousands of fellow book lovers out there who would love to help you out. Places like Reddit, Tumblr, Goodreads, and several other bookish forums have book sleuths that seem to be able to solve even the vaguest of mysteries. Reddit in particular has several dedicated sections such as Tip of My Tongue, What’s That Book, Books, and PrintSF for when you can only remember the cover. Just take a scroll through the book section of Reddit to find a thread that best meets your needs. If Reddit isn’t your thing, check out some of these other book forums and groups:
- Goodreads What’s the Name of That Book? is a group that will help solve your book mystery after you’ve done a valiant effort to first find it yourself.
- LibraryThing’s Name That Book is another place where you can post about your forgotten novel. Just follow their instructions and try to wrack your brain for as many details as you can, and fellow readers will do what they can to find your book.
- Stump the Bookseller is a blog run by a cool indie bookstore in Ohio that offers a $4 dollar service to help readers find lost books, specifically childhood books. Plus they have large searchable archives that you may find helpful as well.
- The Fiction_L listserv is another place where you might be able to get some help, although they don’t seem to have a section dedicated exclusively to finding lost books.
Ask Your Own Social Network and Community
Post on all your social networks, reach out to friends from the time when you were reading the book, and ask a local librarian or even old school teachers. You might be surprised to find that your personal community is the missing link needed to find your book. Communities often have similar interests, so the books you enjoyed as a child might be the same books your friends and others in your town also enjoyed and borrowed from the library.
Your own circle may be especially helpful if you can remember the time that you read the book. If you know you read the book in junior high or high school, reach out to your friends from that era and see if they remember anything about the books you were reading back then. If you’re like me, you probably have a whole friendship circle of readers and you probably not only told them about every book you read but also offered to let them read it as well so you could talk about it. You never know what odd memories a person may be able to recall from their past.
When All Else Fails
If you’ve gone through all of these things and still aren’t able to find the elusive book you’re looking for, then you may have to accept that it’s not going to happen or even that you may not be remembering it correctly. I remember one story about a person looking for a particular Danielle Steele book who later realized the book she was looking for was actually by Daniel Silva. These kinds of close but not quite recollections are understandably frustrating because while you’re confident you’re looking for the right thing, in the end you were actually going down the wrong rabbit hole the entire time and may not even have realized it.
Another consideration is whether what you’re looking for is even real. There have also been times in my life that I’ve been convinced something that happened in a dream was real life, and oftentimes my dreams take up various elements of books I’ve read. Could you possibly be remembering a detail wrong or combining several different books from your past? Whatever the case may be, hopefully you can at least be somewhat cheered up by the list of books you’ve uncovered in your search that at least have many similar elements to what you were looking for.
Happy reading!

It was a children’s book. I think the cover may have been pink (pale) it had a picture of girl on the cover wearing a dress (maybe 19th century style? not positive on that) with a hat, white stockings and she has a basket and a dog. She is going to some sort of fair or carnival, and decides to go pick some mushrooms before (a contest?). Somehow, I think the dogs jumps on her or something, she falls in some mud and is upset that her new dress is ruined. I don’t remember much else after that.
Thanks for any help!

Hey, I’m looking for a comic series where it was like dark fantasy. But the main character is the daughter of a fairy and her father is an old man. But when her and her friends went to the forest the trees had faces, they started to investigate and then they gave up. However, the main characters boyfriend went back and was seduced into the river/swamp by these sirens and was bitten everywhere. The next day the main character met up with her friends and her boyfriend, he started acting weird and distant. Anyways hopefully that was enough… I really need to find this comic.

Looking for a children’s book… maybe a Dr. Suess book, but I cannot remember. The book was enjoyable, but something stuck with me: a character on a bicycle approached a puddle, stopped, and contemplated if he should ride right through or go around. He chose to go through and disappeared into the puddle. It was hysterical. But, it drove home the point of making good, sound decisions. Is there anyone out there who may recall the book? This was all I can remember from about 60 years ago!
Looking for a book I read 23 years ago. It is a Victorian romance novel. The title is some variation of “Shadow In The Mountain”. the shadow in the mountain, shadow on the mountain, the shadow on the mountain. Mountain could have an “s” or not, really not sure. Cover may have an eagle on it. But it starts out at night and a white man comes in to a store and talks to a woman about marrying him to take care of and raise his infant indian daughter. She agrees. I can’t remember if the infants name was Franci or Fanny or if it was her white mother’s name. The infant girl had a twin brother but the Indians kept him to raise as a warrior. The main character is the Indian infant. The book follows her life as she grows up. I believe her father passes away at the end. A friend let me read this book back in late 2000. It was the very first romance novel I had ever read. It was definitely written before 2000 because it was a well read book already when I read it.
Please somebody help me find this book.
Hi, looking for a book of short stories for children from the 1960s ish era. One story was about a boy who’s hair was such a mess that a bird builds it’s nest in it. Another book circa 60s 70s was about a family who lived in London. They went out near Christmas time and one of the children had roasted chestnuts and another has hot peas in a wax paper cone. It was most probably set in Victorian times. Many thanks for any help you can give me. Best wishes, Annie.

A book about a girl who ends up dating her boyfriend’s dad. He is a cowboy. They meet in a bar. The father and his family a ranch and he is also a widower. The wife died and he never changed anything about the house or his room or anything. He was obedient/loyal to a fault to his wife and stayed more out of duty. There’s a scene in the book where they go swim in a river/off a cliff and they also stay at an inn or the house of a friend of the male love interest. The girl is in college and was not exposed to much in her life – her mother was a single mother. She gets pregnant at the end of the book and the father (love interest) ends up going to therapy. I remember the phrase “this is nothing like riding a cowboy”

looking for a tween-age book, but I would just love to find out the title to this book and share it with my granddaughter one day (She is currently just four years old, so there’s no rush. lol)
The story is about a ghost boy named Ian, who died in a bog or was killed, and was then placed in the bog. I think the story was probably set in Louisiana. The other main character is a girl who just moved into an old plantation house with her parents. The girl and the ghost boy eventually become good friends. I can’t remember anymore if the two had wanted to kiss each other and didn’t, or if they actually did kiss.
Pretty sure I read it in late 1970s, or possibly early to mid-80’s.
Many thanks to anyone who can help me with remembering the title of this book.
This was a book I read in the early 80’s! It was a Harlequin romance about a quarterback who got injured and he was “prescribed” ballet lessons to help him rehab! He made a bet with the ballerina that he could do the workout easily and found out that it was much harder than he originally thought! They fall in love! He gets his teammates to start doing the workouts as well!
I once read a book on Goodnovel, I don’t remember the title or the characters even the author. I just know that the female lead was taken into the rich family after the death of her mother when she was young, and she was well taken care off. Everyone in the family love her, except for the son of the family ( who is a male lead), he didn’t see her as his sister and used to bully her while growing up. And she was scared of him. The female lead was sent to study abroad and after her graduation it was time to return home, and everyone was excited about her return but she was scared to meet the male lead. Since it has been ages without seeing each other, what the female lead doesn’t know is the the very same man who used to bully her now claims to be inlove with her.
There’s also a scene in the book where the male lead was chilling with his friends and they asked him the female lead. It was also revealed by his friends that in high school whenever the female lead would have a boyfriend the male lead will always scare them off, he said that she’s his and no one will have her except him only.
I read this book from a library earlier this year, where a girls sister dies in a car crash by a bridge, i think. in a part of the story, it talks about her and her sister going to the movies so that the older sister (who died) could meet up with her boy friend. the boys dad (i think) took the younger sister out of the theater, to his car, and tried to undress her. another part of the book involves the younger sister (who is the main character) sneaking out to meet a boy and going to parties
My daughter was trying to find a book named “Luke On The Loose” it’s a very good book and I used to read it to her before she went to bed. This website really helped me find it!
So, I read this book in 2020 during covid but before the lockdown and all that. I was writing exams and I read it once I was done with the test. My friend borrowed it to me but I don’t talk to her anymore and I asked for the name but she wasn’t giving it to me. I can’t for the life of me remember the author but I’m pretty sure it was called the ‘ Lost Child ‘. I have looked everywhere, every bookstore, every website, everything. Nothing. I was hoping you can help me. It was about this woman Rachel, she had a husband and a son. She had a miscarriage and every time she had sex with her husband, it felt wrong and no love. Her son wasn’t nice to her and pushed her around. Her friend died when they were teens ( can’t remember how ) and she found her deceased friends brother online. He was married but she had a ton of sex with him and it felt right. Eventually, she got pregnant, but when she told him, he freaked out. He had a wife and two or three kids and couldn’t leave them. Rachel’s husband found out and ran away, running to her sister. He didn’t sleep with her or anything, he just needed a place to crash. When she was four months pregnant, her son went to school and didn’t come home. She called the police and together, they found out her soon to be ex-husband picked him up from school and took him. They track the two down and the son hugged her or whatever. She had a girl and they got divorced. That’s basically it. It had a greenish yellow cover with a woman watching a boy run away. Every time I searched up the name, it would show books of kidnapped children or something like that. I think my only question is : Can anyone help me ?

It was an old packmate that was attacked while trying to run away from the pack with her child. She saw the FL and asked her to take her child to her sisters pack. The FL accepted the request of the dying former packmate. When she arrives to that pack she was greeted not long after and with some of the Packs wolves that were patrolling the packs border. She give them a hard time but she does not hurt any of them. After a while they end up not hurt and she was able to tell them why she was doing on the packs territory. They escort her to the packs main house and she encountered her mate, who was the Alpha’s Son. He does not like rogues, due to his sister and mom being attacked and killed by them, when he was young. The ML father who is still the Alpha recognized her and scolded his son. He brings her in the pack house. She ends up showing him her tattoo that her brother gave her. The Alpha invites her to stay in his pack and his son(ML) advise against it…… I can’t remember the rest of it. I just remember the beginning some what.
I need some help finding an alien romance.
The alien is described to have red skin and very large. His mate is a human girl. It’s winter on the planet and there is a war between species I think. I read this book on kindle and within the last year. It’s a newer book.
I feel like if I read or see the title again, I’ll remember but I can’t remember by myself.
Hi, I think the book your looking for is one of the “Turochs of Earth” books by Reba Max?

looking for an illustrated children’s story about a little girl who visits a bear in a zoo at nighttime. the bear drinks cans of condensed milk, and, if I remember correctly, the little girl is in her nightgown and bare foot. I read it in a collection of for children in the late 70s.
Looking for book read August 2023. Have no title nor author. But author is female. Book rather “new” between 2019 to 2023. Historical fiction; European town, WWII. Begins: War is OCCURRING, explosions in the town, much confusion! A very young girl child is “forgotten” on a bus! Child discovered by young woman, puts blanket over child. Young woman takes child “home,” & cares for child. Young woman in relationship with fellow. Young woman “comforts” little girl & “FALLS IN LOVE” with this girl-child, although she thought she never wanted a child of her own. Eventually, the disinterested mother, who had run off with a man, abandoning the girl child, LEARNS the location of her little girl & SHOWS UP to TAKE BACK THE girl-child. Beautifully & tenderly written! The young woman continues her life in this town, the War continues. MANY YEARS LATER the young woman is “old,” and the girl-child is grown … BUT I DIDN’T FINISH THE BOOK! Can anyone tell me name of book? Thanks.

I was on facebook when a story-line from unlimited kindle showed up and the story went like this: single mom has to take young son to work with her because school was closed due to weather, so he sits in the lounge area while the mom goes into another room and young boy meets this man and this man asks the little boy to eat with him and his family, but when the mom comes back into the lounge/bar, her son is gone but the bartender says her little boy is in the dining room…when she goes to find her son, he is sitting with a stranger but the child doesn’t know he is the boys father—–help-I want to read this book.!!
I have been trying to remember a very thick book I read back in the 1970s/80s about a very young Scottish girl who inherits a castle when her father dies, which is stolen away from her. She is sent away to live with a family and has a hard life and then when grown up she leaves and she fights her way back up by marrying an old butcher and inherits his business when he dies. She eventually gets back the castle. The name Vilia or Vanessa is stuck in my head but I could be wrong.

I am looking for my favorite book as a child. It would have likely been published in the late 60’s or early 70’s. It was about two siblings on summer vacation from school. Two young children from another planet land in their yard and they all become friends. The alien children cause a tomato plant to grow huge and the four children spend the summer playing together in and around the giant tomato plant. At the end of summer, the alien kids fly back to their home planet.
I am looking for a book that I read last year with a vampire named Lachlan who saves a girls life, shows up in her dreams, and leaves his signature rose… does anyone know what it is called?
Looking for a book I read many years ago and can’t remember the Title or Author! It’s about a husband takes his two daughters on a camping trip and when they leave, one daughter almost gets snake bitten but was saved by the older daughter and on the way home they were hit by a drunk driver and the father and older daughter was killed!
The drunk driver was a repeat offender and the mother struggles with forgiveness and later a new relationship and the surviving daughter attempts suicide!
Can anyone help? I believe it’s a female Author is all I know!
Thanks
So, this book was one I read years back, and I really enjoyed it. The bad thing was, it was from a libary that I moved away from, and I can’t remember what it was called at all.
The cover had fallen of, so I can’t describe that. From what I can remember, it was like this boy goes to a magic boarding school or something, but he doesn’t know it’s magic I think and there’s this teacher who, in my mind, is called Mr. Grimshaw but I’m sure that’s wrong. I think that the boy guesses that there’s something odd about the teacher but I can’t remember. I think there’s lots of evil magic. At the end, he’s at home eating or something, then with his magic I think he freezes his mum and dad with his eyes. I’m not sure if any of this is true, I am just trying to remember the best I can. By the way, I’m only 10 years old.
I bought this book after my ex kept receiving letters in the mail about this book and how all the wealthiest and most influential people read it and it contributed to their successes. The letters gave examples of people who were supposedly successful because of reading this book. So I ended up buying it in 2013 I sent this person $275.
The book had over 2000 pages or maybe 3000. It was a large 8×11 Brown Hard Cover Book with a Gold Key on it. I don’t remember the title or the names of the characters. I was hooked by the second chapter. The plot was about these 5 elementary-aged kids all in the same class with a woman teacher that was kind, caring, and teaching them life lessons along the way. Like she was grooming them for greatness and to change the world for the better. She and the Gym teacher ended up getting married. He always talked about the GOD-MAN. The story follows all of their lives into adulthood…one becomes President of the US and marries one of the girls who became a famous model. (Sound familiar?) They were changing the world and the government was against all of them, even the Teacher and gym teacher.
I never finished it because I got busy and put it down. Well when 2020 rolled around and our world went crazy, I freaked out and threw it out. That’s how Prophilectic it seemed to me. I want to find the book. Also, I did research on YouTube on the author back in 2014–he seemed like an eccentric nut job. Sorry to name call but he turned me off to finishing it. Until 2016 rolled in. Has anyone heard of this book? It was never sold in stores.
Thanks for the help!

sci fi book about kid using different keys to escape the underworld while encounter a traveling flee market in each universe and some kind of creature is after him and follows him.
Book about a young girl who was kicked out of her Catholic Church school (she would try to skip out of things by blaming it on her time of the month. When the nuns found out they kicked her out) she then had to go to work with her mom as a cleaner for some rich dude. Rich dudes wife never leaves her room, they send her meals through the mini elevator things (?forgot what their called) and they say she’s insane. They have to put special sugar/salt in her food which they say is to keep her at bay.
Pomegranates become an important part of the story but I can’t remember why.
The girl ends up climbing in the elevator to talk to the wife, she didn’t speak in proper sentences but I believe that’s when the pomegranate was mentioned.
When it’s the girls day to make her food, she doesn’t add the sugar/salt. A few hours later the wife starts burning things and raging out. (Somehow) the girl figured out that the sugar/salt meant to calm her down is the thing making the wife insane, and she went through a “withdrawal” of sorts that one time she didn’t have any. It turns out that the husband purposefully makes her have the (basically) dr*gs, as the huge mansion and all their fancy artwork belongs to her, not him. She got them passed down from her father and he married into the wealth. One of the helpers turned out to be an Italian/Russian/French (???) arsonist. I don’t remember the whole point with him but he was a big part in the end. The girl and the wife team up and threaten the husband to change his identity and go far away.
This book is aimed towards young adults, I read it when I was about 12-13
A fiction book printed in the early to mid-80’s. When the book begins, the lead character is a baseball player playing in the minor leagues. The best player on the team is African-American whose name might have been Willie. At one point during the season, the team is in a bar or restaurant one night and a fight breaks out with some locals. The locals end up cutting out the tongue of the African-American player. The catcher on the team has a drinking problem and is very difficult to get along with. Later in the book, it’s learned that this catcher had become a born again Christian. Years later, the lead character is married and is playing in the majors but nearing the end of his career. At one point, he and his wife are in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival or perhaps it was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. His wife discovers him in the “embraces” of another woman and she ends up divorcing him. In his last game of his career, he makes the game winning catch in the World Series but injures his legs doing so. If I remember the story correctly, when he injures his leg making the “fantastic catch” it was because his leg got tangled in the ivy on the wall. That probably meant that the game was played at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

I’m looking for a child’s book that would be probably 75 to 100 years old. It had a dark blue Grey cover if I remember right. It is about 3 gnomes that live under a bridge that’s over a creek. I think two of their names were Badminton, Dodderer and I can’t remember the third one. I think one of them went up the creek maybe on a leaf boat! That’s all I can remember!
I think this novel is new I read it earlier this year (2023). It is about an African American family where the parents meet as young adults and marry. They have a daughter, but then the father leaves the family and returns Down South. The mother starts singing again and becomes alcoholic while raising the daughter alone. There are many minor characters such as the father’s cousin who he worked with in a hospital kitchen when he first came to Chicago from Down South. Also his father was abusive and died in a fire.
I’m looking for a book I read in my childhood (late 80’s/early 90’s) about some

I am looking for a book about a young woman ( Laura maybe) who was a thief with her older brother but she was taken in by an older man)grandfather type) who was rich and owned a bunch of hotels. She worked for him for some time and then her brother came back to rob the old man. He died of a heart attack and she found out he left her some or all the hotels but one of his kids finds out about her past and shit goes down hill from there. Beacon Hill always comes to mind when I think of the hotel names. There is also an owl running through my brain around the book.
This is a long shot. I’m looking for a book from primary school early 80s it may have been published mid 70s. The reason its bugging me this long is the illustrations were so vivid with beautiful use if colours. It was about Cats vs Mice the setting space/ Galaxy. The Cats had a spaceship in the shape of a Cat and the Mice had a spaceship in the shape of a Mouse. Again beautifully illustrated by someone gifted and now this memory haunts me for decades. Thank you.
I am looking for a book i heard on tape many years ago maybe before 2010. The author was British and female. The protagonist was female and going through a divorce. She goes to the Greek islands and recounts her misadventures. The book is very funny and entertaining. I seem to remember an anecdote about her sister and sexy underwear. Thanks
Looking for a book about 2 boys maybe 16-20 years old and a girl in that age group. let’s just give the boys and girl a pretense name (not in the book because I can’t remember the names) but…. one boy is blind, and we will call him Tony. The other boy we will call Sam is Dating the girl we will call her Susan.
Sam and Susan have been in love for a long time and Sam is in an automobile accident and dies. At his death his family and girlfriend find out Sam had signed papers to have certain things of his body donated to Science for helping solve diseases and saving lives to help others live longer.
Later as time passes, Tony meets Susan and he can’t help but stare at her thinking very strongly that he has seen her before, and sooner than later his curiosity gets the best of him, and he approaches her telling her he feels he knows her because he thinks they have met before and continues to talk until he tells her about being blind and having a surgery to help him be able to see. So she is inquisitive about the timing of his surgery and where and when all the medical issues were handled and asked about if he knew the person or any information about where the eye bank loaction was that he received the eyes from and the conversation continued until she figured Tony had Sam’s Eyes and then time carries the 2 into a relationship and brings all 3 families together and well you can imagine how it ends with bliss of course.
I remember having the book in the late 90’s and I don’t know what happened to it I just don’t have it anymore and would love to find another one
