How can Book Cave help authors and publishers sell more books? There are several Book Cave services, so here they are laid out simply.
Retailer Deals
If you are discounting your published book on a retailer, like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, etc., or have a book that is permanently $0.99 or $0.00, check out these two promotion opportunities.
**All retailer deals must meet our submission guidelines.**
Retailer Deals Promotion
You can submit your book to Book Cave for a retailer promotion. When we promote a book, we send it out in an email to our subscribers and we promote it to our followers on social media. We also post it on our site for the length of the promotion. Check out how many subscribers we have and our pricing here.
Retailer deals are submitted through our submission form.
Group Retailer Promotions
For a group retailer promotion, your book must be for sale on retailers and must match the specifications of the group promotion (genre and pricing). Group retailer promotions are sent out to our subscribers in an email and are posted on social media and on Book Cave. We’ll also offer cool reader prizes and promote the page with ads to bring it even more notice. All authors in the group retailer promotion send the URL of the page to their own readers, resulting in even more notice.
You can join available retailer groups through your dashboard.
Group retailer promotions do have a charge that varies depending on the giveaway prize being offered. For more information on the benefits of retailer group promotions, see this blog post.
Subscriber Magnets
A subscriber magnet is a book that you give to readers for free in exchange for their email address to add to your mailing list. This involves uploading the EPUB and MOBI file of your book to our site, where readers will put in their email before being able to download the book. You can download your leads from your dashboard, or you can set up integrations with MailChimp, MailerLite, and several others on your dashboard.
To use the subscriber magnet opportunities, you must submit your book through our submission form for it to appear on your dashboard. Once you’ve submitted it, you will manage all subscriber magnet options through the author dashboard. You do NOT have to wait for your book to be reviewed and posted before creating subscriber magnets.
All subscriber magnet services are currently free, but we will start charging a small fee for them in the future, so take advantage now of the free service. Subscriber magnets are not vetted—we publish all submissions and the book is managed by the author.
Self-Promotion with Magnets
When you create a magnet, you also create a URL on Book Cave where that magnet is posted. You can share this URL with social media followers to convert them into email subscribers. You can create several subscriber magnets for the same ebook, each with its own URL—this is helpful for tracking and for setting different restrictions on each magnet.
Check out this blog post for more ideas on using subscriber magnets to sell more books.
Group Magnet Promotions
You can combine forces with other authors to do a group promotion using subscriber magnets. The books in the group promotion are posted on one convenient page, and all the authors in the promotion share that page with their newsletter subscribers. As a result, you’ll reach many more readers.
You can check out the promotions that are currently in the works on the “Join” dashboard page. If you don’t see one that interests you, you can create one yourself!
Check out this blog post for a tutorial on how to join or create group magnet promotions.
Book Cave Direct
Book Cave Direct is one of the Book Cave services with its own page. To take advantage of the opportunities from Book Cave Direct, all you need to do is check the “Public” option under the “Magnet Visibility” field when editing your subscriber magnet on your dashboard. When you do that, your book will appear on Book Cave Direct. There, readers can browse all public subscriber magnets. They can also browse the current group magnet promotions.
Readers who sign up for the Book Cave Direct mailing list receive a weekly email containing a list of public subscriber magnets that match their preferences. Not all public magnets are sent in this email; the books are chosen weekly by our editorial staff, without any requirements besides making your magnet public.
Rated Books Database
All books submitted to Book Cave are required to have a content rating. We use that content rating to build a database of rated books. Adding books to the database is a service that is, and will always be, free.
My Book Ratings
When you submit a book as a retailer deal or as a subscriber magnet, or if you just add it to your dashboard for later, it will also be published on My Book Ratings, another of the Book Cave services with its own page. You can submit any book to My Book Ratings, regardless of whether or not it is discounted. Our goal is to create a database where readers can find any book and its rating.
My Book Ratings is a community database, meaning that any person can submit a rating for any book. The overall rating will show for the book, but users can also see the individual ratings by mousing over the rating.
You can request an Official Rating from MBR. Our editors will read your book and assign it a rating, which will be posted on My Book Ratings as a separate icon from the community rating. You will also receive an image of the official MBR rating to use on your website or in your book. An official rating costs $75 or more. Please see this page to request an official rating and to see more details about pricing. An official rating is not a requirement.
Author Pages
You can create your own author page on Book Cave. Readers can browse author pages and use them to find out more about you, the books you’ve published, and the books you have on sale or have added as subscriber magnets.
Readers can also follow your profile to receive emails when you have a book on sale or when you release a new book. Check out this post for ideas on how to get more followers on Book Cave.
We hope this overview has given you a clear idea of the Book Cave services. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments below.
Dear sirs,
I have uploaded my profile. My book is ready for pre-order at KDP Amazon, to be released on the 2nd June. I would like to have it promoted with your help from the 24th to the 30th June. I am applying well in advance. When can I fill up details about the book, promotion date etc. for your approval and for my payment, please?
