Biography
Once an actor, once in the BBC, once a hotelier. Mostly a TV producer of high-rating drama series and soaps, working with lots of writers, some brilliant some not so brilliant. I've always written myself: my first story was finished when I was aged 10 (obviously unpublished!). My first paid work was a radio play for the BBC nearly 50 years ago. When I retired, I got cracking on the thrillers. My books are action/crime/thrillers but they are also escapist - in the way that Bond is escapist. I like to think of them as feel-good thrillers. There's a fast-moving mix of snappy dialogue, quirky characters, perky humour, thrills and even a bit of romance. If you like Alan Lee, John Sandford, Robert Crais, Lawrence Block, you’ll love my books.
