Biography
I'm an Australian woman, born in Victoria where I spent my school years, then my university years and beyond have been in Queensland. I'm an English/History teacher with a Master's in Education. I lived in the outback for many years and moved to our 100 acres in the Lockyer Valley over 30 years ago where my husband and I raised our three children. I have lots of horses - if you're interested, just Google 'Leanne Owens' along with a term like 'horses', 'Days of Gold', or 'Horses of Gold' to see lots of photos - we've won over 30 national titles with them so they are reasonably well known. I love dogs - nothing really to add to that, you'll understand if you're a dog person, too. I've written for horse magazines on and off for four decades and also wrote and reported for Horse Talk TV. I love writing - I want readers to feel a big range of emotions when they experience my books, and I'm glad so many report just this in their five star reviews after reading them. I have dozens more books to write.
