Jodi L. Milner

Biography

Jodi L. Milner is an award-winning author of the YA fantasy Shadow Barrier Trilogy and a passionate advocate for the writing community. In addition to publishing short fiction in multiple anthologies and magazines, she cohosts Squirrel! The Podcast for Distracted Writers and regularly teaches at writing conferences and chapter meetings.
Her commitment to serving others extends beyond the page. Jodi has held leadership roles in the League of Utah Writers, where she mentors fellow authors, coordinates events, and fosters community connections. In recognition of her dedication, she was named Volunteer of the Year, an honor that celebrates her generosity and ongoing contributions to the literary arts.
When not writing or volunteering, Jodi can be found wrangling children in the mountains of Utah, destroying movie plots, or crocheting tiny fantasy sidekicks. She firmly believes that life is what you make it—and she’s determined to make it magical.
