Hilary Walker

Biography

English by birth, I've lived and worked in several countries. After graduating in French and German from Exeter (J.K.Rowling's alma mater!) I changed course to become an ACA - the British equivalent of the American CPA.

I joined the now Ernst & Young accounting firm and worked for them in London, England and Frankfurt, Germany where I met my husband. After traveling to several other countries for his work, we arrived in the States, and I now have my U.S. citizenship.

I am an avid - actually obsessive - horse rider and owner. It dawned on me that one day I might not be able to ride anymore, and had better have another passion. So I began writing a few years ago. I feel enormously lucky to have two passions: my horse and my writing.
