Biography
Gail Priest loves writing about familial relationships. Family history, secrets, and forgiveness are favorite sources of inspiration. Gail’s career in theatre an educator, actor, director, and playwright significantly influence her writing.
Her Annie Crow Knoll trilogy which includes Annie Crow Knoll: Sunrise, Sunset, and Moonrise explores four generations of a family living on the Chesapeake Bay. The final novel was a Kindle Book Awards 2017 semi-finalist. A selection from the second novel was chosen for the PS Books anthology, 50 Over 50.
Eastern Shore Shorts, Gail’s collection of short stories set in various Eastern Shore towns, was praised by Liane Hanson of National Public Radio.
Gail’s play Eva's Piano was produced at the Dayton Playhouse in their New Play Festival.
Gail is a member of Eastern Shore Writers’ Association, Chesapeake Bay Writers, the Artist Conference Network, and the South Jersey Writers’ Group, where she was named Writer of the Year for 2016.
