I write contemporary Christian romance, women's fiction, and romantic suspense under this name. My fantasy works are published under "D.M. Turner".
Writing, researching, and editing are pretty much ongoing. Between that and hobbies, I'm never bored.
Biography
I live in southern Arizona with my husband of over 20 years. We share our home with a variety of critters.
Fun Facts
Hobbies
Beading, photography, scrapbooking, crochet, cross stitch, spinning (making yarn, not the bike that goes nowhere *G*)
Favorite Sport
Never been a sports fan. About the only "sport" I've ever cared to watch is equestrian events. Haven't watched them in a while - too advertisement heavy, even in the commentators rambling.
Mountains or Beach? Why?
Mountains! I love the peace and the sounds of nature. Trees, animals, the wind rustling the leaves. So restful.
Pet Peeve
Bad drivers. *G*
Number of Published Books
24 paperbacks - over 70 ebooks
Favorite Place to Write
Don't have one right now. We moved, so I'm still getting settled.
Do You Listen to Music While Writing? What Kind?
Sometimes. Country, classic rock, and contemporary Christian mostly. I avoid instrumental-only music, which negatively impacts my creativity.
Favorite Character You Created
Toss up between Wes Donovan and his son, Dax. Wes is passionate and steadfast with a great deal of wisdom. Dax shares some of his dad's traits and speaks directly to me in many ways.
Are you the same Dawn M Turner that wrote a book about Benjamin Mabrey? I am a distant cousin of his and I would like to ask a question

I’m the one who edited and reproduced the book after the death of the author. She had wanted to update the book but was unable to do so before her death, so her daughter gave me all of her materials and notes and asked me to update the book and put it out so family could get it. How can I help you?

Awesome. I am a distant cousin if Benjamin Mabrey. I’m am very interested in knowing if any of his letters still exists and how can I get ahold of his descendants who may have them. If possible. I would love to get one for myself. His grandparents are my 3x great grandparents. Thank you so much

What I have are copies of a BUNCH of his original letters. I honestly have no idea who might have any or all of the originals. If I remember correctly, Grandma Sandy (Verle Sutton) got those copies from a bunch of different family members who had ended up with the letter after they’d been split up among various family at some point. I don’t have contact information for anyone but my MIL (Grandma Sandy’s daughter). I believe some of them are on Ancestry.com, though, so you might be able to find and connect with them through there.
