Biography
Beth Sage is a truth-seeker whose life was shaped by an upbringing in a high-control religious group—an experience she didn’t fully recognize until adulthood. What began as an attempt to chronicle the miracles and teachings she once cherished evolved into something far more challenging. As she researched her former community, long-buried allegations of abuse surfaced, forcing her to confront accounts she could no longer dismiss. Seeking clarity meant following the evidence wherever it led, even when it shattered her assumptions. After much prayer and discernment, she chose to transform the project into fiction to protect the privacy of those involved while still honoring the truth at its foundation.
A graduate of Messiah University with a degree in communication, Sage approaches storytelling with a journalistic mindset—blending lived experience, multiple perspectives, and narrative craft. Her work explores themes of freedom, forgiveness, and spiritual healing, inviting readers to consider the complex journey from unquestioned belief to authentic faith.
Her debut novel, By Their Fruits, reflects her commitment to integrity, thoughtful biblical engagement, and the pursuit of truth in all its nuance.
When she isn’t writing, Sage enjoys gardening, hiking, and dancing. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband and their dog.
