Description
At the grand old age of 34, Brett Watson is finally starting to enjoy his life. The 1980s haven’t exactly been kind to him so far, and he’s spent what seems like forever expanding his bustling business to the point where it could finally be called a success. The hard work has paid off, though; profits are higher than ever and things finally seem as though they’re starting to settle. Even a long flight for a non-starter meeting with one Mohamid Van Jonger couldn’t ruin his spirits too much. That is, until he returned home.
Anxiety immediately struck as soon as the plane landed and a mysterious busboy was waiting for him, handing over an unmarked envelope with a message inside. To Brett’s horror it contained a chilling warning: His car is bugged. His wife Rebecca has been kidnapped. And he’s got until 6pm to return home or somebody is going to kill her. Rebecca isn’t dead yet but she might wish she was, as her captors force her into situations even her worst nightmares couldn’t prepare her for. And hell, even if Brett does manage to pull off the impossible and get her back, neither will ever be the same again.
Wrapped up in a winding tale that stems from the rainy streets of London to the untrustworthy vistas of Cyprus, Rebecca’s kidnapping and Brett’s first instruction proves to simply be the beginning of a much larger conspiracy, as lies, betrayals and a plot far more devastating than anyone could have imagined are all revealed in the pages of White Magic.
