Description
Sixteen-year-old Seth knew that his classmates considered him too serious and a nerd. But Seth knew differently, “That’s just not who I am.” Seth was aware of his strengths especially his knowledge of Yellowstone and its caldera of more than fifteen-hundred square miles.
“What will happen if the geysers got out of whack and overheated? Would the volcano erupt?”
The Chambers had planned for their family camping trip to Yellowstone Park for months and hoped this trip would create memories. They had no idea how their lives would be changed.
A crescendo of three shudders shook Yellowstone National Park. Time froze, filled with confusion. As the family scanned the countryside with dazed eyes, the echo of a smaller explosion carried over the forest accompanied by popping sounds. The angry plume of volcanic ash hung in the sky, rolling like thunder clouds.
Although they survived the ash fall, Seth’s parents were critically injured. No food, low on water filters, and little protection.
This was the time for courage! Seth and his sister, Thea, would reach deep inside their hearts and minds to save their family.
