Description
Charlotte knows how a lady should act. If only she was able to apply it in social situations. Her parents are tired of her remaining on the shelf and tell her she has until the end of the season to find a man of her own choosing, or they will decide for her. Charlotte, however, has always dreamt of a love match. So, in a desperate attempt to overcome her fear of speaking with others, she lures her brother to the refreshment table and quickly consumes a couple of glasses of wine. Her plan backfires when she is asked to dance by her brother’s handsome friend, Mr. Charles Wright, and she falls on her face in an ungraceful attempt to curtsy. The man latches on to her for some unknown reason and declares he will help her to meet the man of her dreams. But, could he turn out to be the man?
Charles is an only child, and now an orphan. He is lonely, but he has a vast estate to manage and cannot seem to find time to court any young women. While in London for business, he runs into an old friend at a ball and is lucky enough to elicit a dance from his beautiful sister. Little does he know that she is intoxicated. He is intrigued by the young woman, especially after he finds out about her quest to find love before her parents choose a man for her. The only problem is, Charlotte is quite shy. Painfully shy to be exact. And while on his quest to help her find her match, he finds himself reluctant to let her go. Will Charles and Charlotte open up to each other and find true love? Or will they succumb to life’s traps and pitfalls, and lose out on the chance of a lifetime?
