Description
The collection of stories in The Perfect Storms: an Inspirational Story are one that tell the tales of characters who are faced with different sort of tribulations—natural, man-made, and supernatural/dark forces. They have to either face their fears or flee from it. Fleeing is not a great idea, we see as they all manage to stand their ground and fight their problems in different ways.
In the first collection, Hurricane Katrina vs. Hurricane Ida, we meet Job. His problems are orchestrated by Lucifer, the devil and prince of hell. He seeks to try his faith in God by taking away all he has materially as well as inflicting him with cancer and acute diabetes all of a sudden. His wife, Ann, is not as faith-filled as he and leaves home with the kids. Job is not deterred. He remains faithful to God, fighting his misfortune with a great deal of faith in God with a combination of service. He volunteers to work with Charles Kish in helping the hurricane victims. He is eventually rewarded as he gets an offer to sell a land that belongs to him and his wife. With the huge money he gets from it, he is able to set his life back on track and help the children hospital from closing down.
The second book, Jean talks about a young man who is weary of the lifestyle of his father, a drug lord. He seeks to move far away from his soiled root and lands in prison for a crime he does not commit. He is released before term by an unknown person. He seeks to find out whom, refusing to keep running. He alongside his cellmate, Marcos, and a lady who he falls in love with decide to find out the people behind their imprisonment and release. When they find out that it is an old associate of his dad with long time grudges, they go after him, only to discover that it is all a trap.
The final book, Shepherd’s Tale, tells John’s fight with a witch, who is after his life and that of his family. He is warned by an angel in his dream and wakes in the middle of a Los Angeles street, a long way from home. He makes his way home where he convinces his wife that they need to run away before the witch comes. They are going to stay with some friends he helped years ago. They suffer a mishap on their way and have to stay the night at a guesthouse. They are, however, stopped by the witch before they can get to the camp of friends.
Life is full of storms, but with the right attitude, love, and help from above, we can always conquer our challenges.
