When she hears about a part-time job with Macy and Wilson, a private investigation agency, she is more than a little bit curious. Her new boss (a classic Cancer, and handsome to boot) starts her off with some routine telephone traces. But then a man is shot dead, and his sometime lover is found dead in a bath in the Wellington Hotel. Now Jo is really in over her head . . . When Jo Hughes takes on Connor Fitzpatrick at the Macy and Wilson private investigation agency, she thinks it will be an open-and-shut case. Connor’s brother Sean has gone missing. He was seen in the local pub with a woman, but who is she? And how is she connected to the case? Then a body is found. And this missing person’s investigation becomes a murder inquiry. Jo and Macy must delve into Sean’s past, and true nature, to find out who wanted him dead.
