Description
The Hastie Girls, a coming of age book, is the first installment of a two-part series which takes the reader on a journey of shocking naivety to shattered dreams within a few short years. Frolicking on the moors in the English countryside, these twins never imagined their sisterhood bond could be threatened.
It was the 1950’s, within the confines of sheltered English village life, where their dreams had been simple. Emily yearned for a small town romance, staying in her picturesque village with a brood of children at her heel. At first, it seems she’s to have her coming of age romance, both clean and wholesome, but deception takes the forefront of her tale.
Belle aspired to be a doctor and to find her own love that was exciting and far beyond the borders of the English countryside. However, for Belle to seek adventure, she is unable to remain within the confines of suffocating English village life, and thus, unable to protect her sister. The thrill of adventure and first love collides with the sisterhood bond, and both will be challenged by their loyalties.
A story that demonstrates nothing lasts forever—neither the good nor the bad.
