Description
Math is an autistic man who enjoys sketching furniture and comparing the toxicity of various metals to the human body. But his world is thrown upside-down when he discovers a strange conspiracy stretching over his sleepy southern town: pets are going missing. Lots of them. Missing pet posters appear quite frequently, leading Math down a rabbit hole toward a mysterious cult that seems to be responsible for the pet disappearances.
Tall Animals is a debut novel with strong notes of Southern Gothic and dark comedy. With the pacing of a character study and the intrigue of a psychological thriller, the novel presents a unique perspective on the world, colored by anxiety, isolation, and, perhaps paradoxically, enlightenment.
