Description
Born to a draconi father and a shifter mother, Crown Prince Silvan of Eastern Territory is the pride of King Galeas and Queen Susannah. As the only son of the royal couple, who is doted on and spoiled rotten, Silvan spends his days avoiding the responsibilities of an heir and his nights sneaking out of the palace and mingling among the commoners.
That is, until rumors about his betrothal begin to circulate through the capital. Silvan knows what marriage means for a prince. Soon, he’ll have to embrace his duties as the successor of the draconi throne.
Meanwhile, unrest at the border rises. Silvan’s ruthless, war-hungry uncle, Arynth, suddenly pays King Galeas a visit to request military support to go against the fae. Upon laying eyes on Silvan, Arynth becomes envious that his brother’s son doesn’t suffer from the ailment that any offspring of Arynth or his soldiers have been afflicted with due to the curse.
When Arynth’s visit forces Silvan to begin questioning his parents’ political views, the young prince realizes it’s time for him to accept his fate as an heir. But with his uncle leaving Eastern Territory angry and without the requested assistance, could it be too late for Silvan to step up? Could it be that soon he won’t have a kingdom or people to rule at all?
