Description
For generations, old Earth has been called Terra as humanity has struck out across the solar system and beyond. Colonies throughout the Sol System—on Luna, Mars and outlying moons like Ganymede and Titan—all have their own governments, but Luna remains the effective seat for the entire Galactic Union.
The Legion is the peacekeeping force for the Galactic Union, and after thirty years of serving humanity abroad, Legionnaire Ari Gadsden has retired. He is returning home, to Terra.
But the political winds have changed. Realities have changed. The Legion and its members, active duty or retired, are no longer welcome on Terra, and he is left stranded on Luna, persona non grata. But a life spent in the military does not produce a man willing to take things lying down—it produces a man like Ari, who makes his own luck.
The solution to any problem requires a plan, but Ari can’t do it alone. Can he trust the new friends and allies he meets? Problems on Terra have been brewing for years, but no one knows the reason. He needs to investigate it up close . . . in person . . . but is he going in as a problem solver, or the sacrificial lamb? If his career taught him anything, Ari needs a partner he can trust for a mission of this scope . . .
