Out of the Desert

Description

Four children grow up on the Mojave Desert. When Todd, the oldest and the main narrator, closes in on his 50th birthday, he wonders what happened to the little boy who wanted to become either a spaceman or a famous writer. He returns to his childhood home to unlock secrets of his youth and to see if his childhood persona, Toad the Dreamer, still exists. Unsatisfied with his professional achievements, he wonders if his special childhood friend can help him chart a new path to happiness.
