Description
When my best friend, Sophie, passes away at the ripe old age of twenty-eight, her twin brother, Silas, finally comes home. After amputating me from his life a decade ago, I’ve hardly spoken to the quiet, closed-off cowboy who used to be one of my best friends. Regardless of how he keeps pinning me with those dreamy blue eyes, I’m determined the funeral will be the last time that I do.
Even in death, my best friend couldn’t leave well enough alone. And when the will is read, I can’t believe my ears. Sophie left her daughter for me to raise.
But, not just me.
Silas too.
Of course, we can’t sign a few papers and divide Anna’s life down the middle. Sophie had to make things as difficult as possible, throwing in an insane stipulation: the three of us must reside together for ninety consecutive days before a permanent custody arrangement can be made.
Now, I’m forced to spend the summer sleeping across the hall from the aloof friend-turned-stranger whose every move leaves my nerve endings tingling and my hormones thrumming with desire.
I’m fairly certain when my bestie asks us to do this One Last Thing for her, she’s just having one last laugh at our expense.
