Nya’s Adventures: Mexico: Gaining Courage

The book series follows the journey of a little black girl with a strong spirit and love of adventure. She travels the world with her family—her younger brother, mother, and father. The book will focus on exposing young readers to understanding different emotions, cultures, languages, and animals.

The book’s goal (series) is to encourage a love of reading, writing, traveling, understanding emotions, and the proper treatment of animals. It will teach children how to embrace cultural differences, encourage family appreciation, provide positive visuals of Black families, People of Color, travel, and embracing new cultural ideas.

In the first book, Nya travels to Mexico with her family and along the way learns about courage, support, family, and friendship.
