Description
It’s all blue skies and clear freeways when rock singer and improv investigator Jim Shalabon moves to Los Angeles. Until, that is, Hollywood’s hottest actress comes calling. Three days later she’s murdered.
As a result of this visit, Jim gets entangled in her sensational killing and an unexplained disappearance from fifteen years ago. Can they possibly be related? As rumors swirl around him, Jim struggles to clear his name, placate his wary girlfriend and conquer his songwriter’s block. And, shut out of the police investigation, Jim exploits his only way into the case. In a city where everyone’s got something to hide, people are more likely to open up to Jim than cooperate with hard-nosed cops. As those secrets turn ever darker, is he ready to go from ugly to gruesome?
With nods to Hammett, Chandler, and TC Boyle, Los Sueños Blues is charged with dry wit, satire, and page-turning mystery.
