Within its pages, you will head “off a country road into dense deliverance, away from all things carnal, where mildewed wood chip paths meander through firefly ambiance and unseen moth kisses to a shadow eating burn pit with still moods.” There’s much to embrace here about awesome, average people, places, and the great out-of-doors. At the same time, this work reminds us that there are many challenges to which we can agree to unite, then work together in a common bond towards changing, such as mental and physical abuse, prejudice, conflict, and mental illness. So, let’s all turn that first page, together, and many thanks in advance for the privilege.
