Description

When a desperate phone call from her father sends Valerie Alister into the blizzard of the century with an odd assortment of items from their home, she arrives to find him embroiled in a battle against walking, talking wax figures who are preying on stranded motorists.

Her father isn’t the insurance adjuster she believed him to be, but a member of the Defenders, an elite group charged on protecting the world from evil, and right now he needs her help.

Being initiated into the Defenders means following in her dad’s footsteps. It also means gaining extraordinary abilities when she turns 25. Too bad she’s only 23.
