Description
Before the Storm
The small town of Clare Harbor has always been home for Sara Merryn even though in recent years her visits have been few and far between because of her busy schedule. Now she’s returning for another reason. There is a storm coming and she has to somehow convince her grandparents to leave their home just outside the small southern city of Clare Harbor.
That seemingly simple task is made more difficult by her grandmother’s disabling fears. Sara is determined that between the two of them, they will overcome her grandmother’s disability long enough to reach safety. She knows that it won’t be easy but they have no choice.
John McKie has covered many of nature’s tempests in his career and knew this one could easily be the worst yet. He’s also witnessed the entire range of reactions that people experienced to the danger they’re about to face. He had no doubt that the refusal to leave their home by the senior citizens that he’d just driven away from would be seen by some as nothing more than ornery and stubborn behavior.
But he knew better.
Storm Clouds
Sara Merryn returned to Clare Harbor to make certain her grandparents were safe from the dangers by what many believed to be the storm of the century. Now they face a storm of another kind that could pose an even greater threat.
Senator Gareth Dyersen knows more than he can share with those who have taken refuge in his isolated mountainside family home. But not all of his secrets have anything to do with what brought him there. Instead they may be what stands between all those he now feels responsible for and the dangers they may soon have to face.
Storm Winds
Senator Gareth Dyersen is determined to do everything in his power to insure the safety of everyone who has taken refuge in his mountain home. They are his family, friends who over the years have become family, and strangers who are now friends.
Then he learns one of his greatest fears is the one they must guard against more than any other.
