Description
I’m Heck McTyre, necromancer and voluntary insomniac.
It’s been 60 hours since I slept–four since my last cup of coffee. I’m jittery as a crack-addled raccoon when the sheriff hires me for a séance over an unmarked grave and sanctions a live unboxing. But instead of seeing me talk to a corpse, my audience watches me pry open an empty coffin and a hundred-year-old mystery.
It’s a race against the clock as insomnia scrambles my brain like a morning fry-up, and my hometown plots to bury me and its secret alike.
This is the first part of a trilogy and ongoing series, wrapping up the main story but leaving plot threads dangling for the future.
