Eager to explore the world and create her musical legacy, Gwynn sets off on the road toward the dazzling city of Samhayne. Her peaceful journey is interrupted when she encounters Shae, a Southron warrior mortally wounded in battle.
Journeying together Gwynn and Shae are met by a Fae prince known to Gwynn since childhood. Sensing her distress over her growing powers, he insists that they travel with him to his realm.
