Some revolutions are internal.
Their country’s three-year fight for national sovereignty has ended, and Ahnna, a village schoolmistress, finishes her service as a wartime nurse with the care of one more patient: Ikenna, an esteemed soldier and tradesman. Yet, even in their newfound independence, the struggle for worthy governance, both of the nation and of the heart, is not over.
