Description
Murder or Arson?
A forest fire sweeps through Colorado’s Rio Blanco county along the White River, and while the flames ravage the pristine wilderness, the ugliness of greed, murder, and revenge are exposed. A fishing lodge, constructed despite a controversial land swap between the Forest Service and a wealthy developer, is ground zero for the out-of-control wildfire. A radical and violent environmentalist group is claiming responsibility for the blaze, and the governor asks Colorado Bureau of Investigation Agent Buck Taylor and his team to investigate.
When a murder victim is discovered among the ruins of the lodge Buck isn’t convinced the environmentalists are not the culprits. The more evidence they uncover, the more it points to other suspects who have more extreme motives. The investigation reveals that other fires in the area might be related.
When an item discovered at one of those sites reveals there is more to the fires, the investigation takes a turn and Buck and his team find themselves running out of time to find the killers and prevent an environmental catastrophe that could endanger an entire community.
