Life for Clara has been like riding a mustang backward and blindfolded—right when she finds her balance, the horse decides to jump the fence. Clara knows that Huckleberry Springs, Washington, is where she wants to raise her son. Unfortunately, job opportunities can be hard to come by in a small town. When her last interview goes terribly wrong (through no fault of her own, of course), Clara decides it’s time to move on, but then her childhood crush calls with a job offer she can’t refuse.

Even though their reunion started on a rough note (and cops may have been called), Jonah now needs Clara’s help converting the century-old church on his parents’ ranch into a bed and breakfast. Between smashing down walls, rushing to finish before the tourist season ends, and keeping up with two mischievous boys, somehow Clara and Jonah find the time to create the framework for more than just a building. But will they both see what their relationship is turning into before one of them manages to demolish the entire thing?
