Main characters:
William lived in the small town with his mother and always wondered who his father was and what had happened to him. When his mother finally told him that his father had been killed in the north, she made him promise not to go there and take revenge, because that was what his father had asked for.
But one day, William got into a dispute and killed some bandits. The only way he could escape his new enemies was to head north, and that would mean breaking his promise. On the other hand, it paved the way for him to find out what secrets his father wanted to hide.
Vida was the daughter of a chieftain in the Northern Land, which had long been divided into many tribes that fight each other for land and power. Armed with a mission to find a god’s heirloom weapon that had been lost for hundreds of years and also a desire to reunite her country, she went south.
Fate put her face to face with a young man from the south who was part of a mercenary army created to deal with the attacks of the northerners. Should Vida kill the young man and continue her mission, or should she let him go, and thus let the gods rewrite her destiny?
