Even Tank Dixon, a Marine Biologist with the Crystal River Conservatory, couldn’t classify the cephalopod-like creature with a taste for small, warm-blooded animals.

The organism’s discovery in a Florida marsh by teenagers Val Delcambre, her brother Shane, and their best friend Freddy, seemed more than a coincidence.

Suspecting a link to a mysterious trailer at the edge of the wildlife refuge, Val and her friends investigate, bearing witness to an event so horrifying they must run for their lives to escape.

But after Uncle Lloyd’s drug-dealing “friends” threaten the safety of Val’s family, everything changes.
