Description
There was a time when Maxwell Weston’s life was one of service. An Army Ranger whose life became a nightmare over one weekend of leave, a weekend that left him trapped inside his own body, unable to communicate. And all to cover the evil doings of a wealthy family whose avarice knows no bounds.
Now, he’s is about to meet the one woman whose love and belief in him can rescue him from the cruel prison he’s been trapped in for years.
Nikki Morgan’s life has been more about hard work than fanciful dreams . When a mysterious stranger points her in the direction that may lead to an artifact people have been seeking for centuries, her life starts to spin out of control.. Her search brings her face-to-face with the unknown dark-haired man who has been inhabiting her dreams.
I loved the connection between Nikki and Maxwell. They did not trust it, but it paid off in the end. I enjoyed the antics of Maxwell and Nikki’s caring. Together, they were a fun couple. The story was a bit too long and confusing with too many points of view, but the premise of this story was definitely a new one for me. It was kind of scary to think that there may actually be families out there like this one.
