I’m Ayla Beyz. I used to think I was just your average comic-book geek until the day my dad pulled me through a space fold to another world. My birthplace. Karanik.

You’d think everything would be great now, but it’s not. My long lost sister thinks I’m some sort of messiah. My psycho grandmother is trying to control my every move. The boy who’s been crushing on me all summer, somehow wound up here too and has gone missing.

Oh, and Earth is under attack.

It’s up to me to save the world from a bunch of basically invincible alien creatures.

So . . . yeah. We’re all pretty much doomed.
