Happy reading.
Sorry to hear that dune is being done again.
Number 1 and 5 have been done and redone. Hollywood is stupid for doing constant remakes. There are so many great authors and stories out there that could be blockbuster breakers if they would only pull their heads out of their rears and pay attention. I’d be willing to say that the number is in the thousands. I’ve literally quit going to the movies because of the repetition of failed remakes combined with the expense. On the positive side I am actually thrilled with number 7,and I hope they don’t screw up the casting. Or wait to long to do the rest of the series like how they did with Eragon.(Please note they screwed up Eragon several different ways, but at least it’s something new.) I did love Sephira though. Thanks for letting me ramble on about Hollywoods screw up because the biggest mistake they make is not paying attention to what readers are crazy for. They should imitate Netflix on the way they go about getting input from fans.
What happened to movie of the Atlantis Grail book, Compete, by Vera Nazarian?
DUNE by Frank Herbert is a classic. Must see if it gets made into a movie.
The second movie in the unmissable classic category has to be Jack London’s The Call of the Wild. All the best to all Film makers
nice to see they’ll try again with dune. they can’t really do it justice on film, but maybe it’ll spark some real interest
So many are re-re-remakes of favorite books. And I love the old ones. Why remake what is already good? Because today’s youth doesn’t watch the old movies. Could they appreciate the original “Invisible Man?” I hate to see what they do to “Dune.” Jane Austen is always good for an updated version.
The movie about the book, News of the World, will need to be outstanding in every way to meet the captivating characters, exciting adventures, and touching relationships.
I know ! I have seen seven of them. I meant as remakes. I should have added.
Almost all of these books have had a movie made from the books already.
You’re right. I thought the same!!
I look forward to seeing a new version of Emma as I love the book and enjoyed most of the movies I’ve seen so far.
Looking forward to seeing many of these books as movies. A boy and his dog at the end of the world would make a good movie also ten thousand doors of January or J.F Rogers books Aloft ,Adrift ,Astray
I thoroughly enjoyed A Boy and His dog. It was an awesome book!
Can’t wait for Dune. I loved ALL the books, and the 1984 movie is my favorite. I also loved the 2001 mini series, and Children of Dune movie.
