The second book brings more conflict, more confusion and then, with resolution and revelation Ava has a whole lot more to deal with. The characters are well done, some nicely complex. Factions are mostly clear - or not. I'd like to see the setting - Ireland - explored in more detail but that's my own foible and no fault of the story. A three and a half rounded up to four star book, when five stars is reserved for work that is quite literally the best ever. M

Great book, you really get sucked in and feel for Ava. I was cheering her on the whole time. Her world is truly a lonely one, but there are people who care for her or do they.
