About this ebook

Dragons. Right. Teenage girls don’t believe in fairy tales, and sixteen-year old Elena Watkins was no different.

Until the night a fairy tale killed her father.

Now Elena’s in a new world, and a new school. The cutest guy around may be an evil dragon, a Prince wants Elena’s heart, and a long dead sorcerer may be waking up to kill her. Oh. And the only way Elena’s going to graduate is on the back of a dragon of her own.

Teenage girls don’t believe in fairy tales. Now it’s time for Elena to believe – in herself.

Very good book! Starts off confusing, but intriguing. Don't stop reading after the first few pages! The writer is very good at creating clues to riddles and then she slowly reveals them in very interesting ways. The first book does not have all the answers, but the whole series is worth a read and it is also not as predictable as you would have guessed at the start of the series. Also, don't get attached to any characters as the author has a way of writing them onto different paths, but it all makes sense in the end! Always thought that I loved wolf shifter books, but now I am addicted to dragon shifter series due to this series. The dragons are also wonderfully explained in detail & shown in pictures in the last book, beautifully descriptive!

The story is great. Shape shifting dragons, magic, prophecies and mystic caves. The books started clean, no swearing. Then one word snowballed into several. The teens in the book are so driven by their animal side that none are virgins, a topic that comes up a lot. The people who are dragons are so driven by their animal that they don't seem to be able to control themselves. Some of the dragons are so evil that they have to be beaten regularly to keep them good. Dragons and humans in some partnerships become bonded even if they hated each other before. There doesn't seem to be a lot of freedom to choose in this world. After finishing the first book I was torn as to whether I wanted to continue or not because of those issues. After reading the reviews and synopsis of the following books I decided it was too tragic to continue.

Elena's been on the run with her father ever since her mother left.. but he's gone now. She's in for a surprise when she finds out he was actually a dragon. After traveling to the Bermuda Triangle.. a place where dragons live.. her new life really begins!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
