Overall, this is a quick, comforting read. You know exactly where it’s going, although there are a few twists on the way. It does kind of sprint a little bit, you don’t get to focus on many of the plot points, because you’re already headed to the next one. The ending, for example, was very quick for having two books lead to it, end it seems like the main character has had it very easy, conflicts have not been anything that creates setbacks, or doubt...we haven’t seen any risk yet.

I was going to continue the series, but book 3 seems to be missing from Amazon… And I don’t really want to skip it and go to 4... So I’m leaving this series until 3 becomes available and I remember to come check.

I love Norah’s story with her mates. The buildup and discovering their feelings throughout the story but the ending was kind of a downer... anti climactic. I would have gone for 4 stars but the ending disappointed me.

There are also some parts that I can’t believe her mates would just idly sit by and not be with her. Majority of the story she discovers Liam and Roarke but I find it hard to believe that Fin and Kael would let her walk into another fae territory without them knowing she was their mate.

Was looking forward to reading book 3 but after book 2 ending... hmm. Maybe I need a break.

Wow, this book is packed with murder and intrigue in each of the four courts. Norah learns that she has more magic than she ever dreamed of. I particularly liked it when she was training with Rourke and managed to get him to answer several questions to get to know him better. We get to find out who Norah's parents are. There is still another book in this trilogy but this one has so much pivotal information in it and I can't recommend it strongly enough. Enjoy! 💙💛💚💜

good continuation of the series, leaning more to YA

Norah is still reeling from the events of the last book when the changing of the seasons goes horribly wrong. Our favourite changeling now needs to make use of her unknown (and unused) powers to battle the Autumn court. Alongside her fae instructors will she be able to save the other courts and yes, the Otherworld itself?

My take on the book:

It was good, entertaining and an easy read. While (in my honest opinion) not as good as the first, I still liked it!

World-building was very good, we moved into the Summer, again into Autumn and the Academy, so a nice and varied change of scenery. Scenes and environments were described very well and detailed, making it easy for immersive reading.

Character development was good. Norah slowly finds out more about herself, her heritage and powers. Unfortunately we don't really get to know much more about her men, well, except for Rourke who opens up (finally).

Pacing and flow were good, leaving enough time in between for the story to unfold.

The book itself was well written with no (noticeable) errors. There is sex described in this book (if that is important to you, though if it was... you wouldn't be reading a reverse harem book now would you?), though it isn't rly described. It happens aaaaaaaaaand that's it, which (again, for me) makes it lean more to the YA side instead of adult.

All in all a good continuation of the series, some mayor revelations and stuff happening and I must say... looking forward to reading part 3 soon!

I would have liked to see more of her romance with all her mates, the author would have pleased many of her readers if the last page was instead a chapter of romance, new beginnings and downtime. What we got was more of a limp lettuce leaf as opposed to a slice of summer cake served by the fae; disappointing. Hoping the final book works on this.
