About this ebook

Dark, gritty, and raw, Famished is an emotional roller coaster and an electrifying debut from bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. Famished is the second book in the Ash Park series, though all novels in the Ash Park world can be read as standalones. If you like Chelsea Cain, Teresa Driscoll, or Kendra Elliot, you’ll love Famished.

A macabre poem scrawled in blood. A girl with a secret. And a ruthless killer who’ll stop at nothing to find her.

"Thrilling, emotional, and depraved, with twists and turns you don't see coming."

~Bestselling Author Kristen Mae

STARVATION TAKES MANY FORMS

Ash Park, a run-down suburb of Detroit, might not be the most idyllic place to live, but for Hannah Montgomery, it’s safe. At least, it feels that way until a serial killer starts dicing up women from the shelter where she volunteers.

Hannah manages to convince herself the killings have nothing to do with her brutal past—but then her boyfriend is murdered in the same ruthless manner as the others. And the police think she may have had something to do with it.

The cops are right about one thing: Hannah is responsible. Because she knows who the killer is. Now she must face the fact that she brought a monster with her to Ash Park—and his appetite for blood is insatiable.

Everyone's hungry for something.

Some are more famished than others.

If you like mouthy detectives, twisted serial killers, and addictive mysteries, this chilling psychological crime series has you covered! Dive into the Ash Park world today!

This was a great in terms of the mystery with several plot twists that kept me reading despite other issues and guessing who did it. I actually talked myself out of my first, accurate guess. So, I gave this 2 stars instead of only 1. If the mystery is the most important part of a book to you, stop reading my review. My low rating is due to the fact that the protagonist wasn't sympathetic enough. The final twist, and the way it ended, really made me want to rate it 1 star.

This story was a bit much even for me. A brutal serial killer that kills without remorse or conscience is loose. Brutal mutilations, no rhyme or reason except they are somehow connected and look like one person. Hannah has had a life of abuse, first from a source that should have kept her safe then of her own choosing to be safe and not alone. This isn't an easy story to read by any stretch of the imagination. I have read some of this author's other works and none were quite as disturbing as this one. It's well written with a story that will haunt you and explores the depravity of man while making a mockery of the bundling police on the case. Read it if you dare just make sure your ready.

I was hardly able to get it started. Too many people & details too fast as if we were already familiar with the characters. Details without context to know how many bodies were at the crime scene. One girl's name I don't think had anything to do with the scene but again not enough story to pick up on the significance.
