SEAL It With A Kiss: Volume 1

In this unique story we have Lieutenant Tabitha Chapel who wants to be the first woman to be a navy SEAL. She is determined to meet her goal and has fully prepared herself by doing everything necessary to train both physically and mentally for this position. However, her commanding officer, Mark Miller, does NOT want a woman to be a SEAL. He does everything he can to make sure she doesn't get in but doesn't factor in the connections Tabby has in the navy or his attraction to her. I liked the idea of a woman wanting to become a SEAL but I honestly don't think women have the strength needed (mentally or physically) to qualify. I liked Tabby's determination and that she was willing to work hard to be a SEAL but she thought too much of herself for my liking. Because Mark was Tabby's commanding officer, they had to keep their attraction for each other under wraps. They didn't even talk to each other about it. I didn't like the "I want to be with him/her but can't" thoughts that kept happening. It got a bit tiresome. Even though I had a few issues with this book, generally I enjoyed it.

It was a battle from start to finish but love wins end the end. Marc and Tabby wanted different things, she to be the first female Seal, him to stop her but love got in the way. Now Marc is determined to protect Tabby from herself and she's determined to change an alpha males (his, Congress and the military's) minds. You will love the twists and turns that come with this book and will be sad to see "The End". It leaves you wanting more, more, more.

It has been AGES since I've regretted starting a book on a weekday. I couldn't put it down and my work productivity definitely suffered lol! Super strong and well fleshed out characters. A much more complex story than I'd anticipated at the start. Gritty but really made you feel for the characters. This was my first read by this author but won't be my last. I have high hopes! Well written, minimal typos and not particularly explicit sexy times.
