This is the story of Drew Kerrigan and Cassie Howard. Cassie is the classic essential nerd who doesn't know if she talking with her inter voice or with her actual voice. So things sometimes just come out of her mouth. But Cassie is a hard worker and once she gets on a project she doesn't want to stop so she has a hard time doing so when the company introduces Drew as a new employee. Cassie is taken back by how handsome he is...and then she finds out he working with her personally. Cassie works as a Government contractor so she takes her work seriously and feels somewhat threaten by Drew who introduces himself at first as if he is taking over her position. Drew is serious non social type guy who is working for the Government, and know is assigned to look into this company and more importantly Cassie. Drew is doing so undercover to see what has been going on with this company so trying to get Cassie to trust him went wrong from the start. I have to say this book hooked me in from the start! I so loved how funny these two were in their 'head voices' much less what they actually did. This was a joy to read and look for more books in this series...and by this author. LOVED this book! This is fun, funny, and smart - all wrapped around a great story. Cassie is a very smart data analyst and used to being the smartest person in the room. Then Drew is hired and is given the same job title as hers. Cassie has not interest in sharing her role, but then Drew is in her face and too cute for words, except she keeps blurting out whatever she's thinking. I loved the characters and felt engrossed and invested in their story. Add in all the funny computer nerd jokes and their odd idiosyncrasies and you've got a great tale. This is a must read for fans of the genre. I'm adding the author to my must read authors' list and going to work my way through her back list (published under a different name). Snag this one on release day - you'll be glad you did.

Not many authors can make computer hacking into an exciting story that seduces and intrigues all while laying claim to the body's most vital organ. The heart. Drew and Cassie set out to entice and do so in a way that is as fresh and mysterious as the characters themselves.
