Genuinely endearing, and exquisitely captivating story about the very passionate and profoundly emotional love and respect between two fine individuals who thought they had lost everything—including life and love!

I enjoyed the plot of this story and hoe the FL and ML share a common tragedy that they help each other to cope with while falling in love. I did get irritated by the FL lack of will to stand up for her love and against her oppressor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and its trans-atlantic storyline really worked. I've read a string of very disappointing romance stories lately and critiqued them accordingly, but this isn't one of them! The ending lifted my spirits and made my heart sing!
