At first this book did not grab my attention as I'd hoped which was disappointing. But I have this annoying urge to finish what I started no matter how bad, so I kept reading. And then Lex met Marcus and the intensity grew. The story immediately went from mundane to intriguing. I was amazed at how much history was cramed into the story and yet it still gripped my attention. I can't wait to read the rest of the series
