In fact, she hates shopping, and her husband would rather do anything than take her to a movie when she’s already read the book.

I love all the characters. Makes you wonder if myths or legends are true. I do hope we hear more about all our fallen couples and consequences of a mad scientist hell bent on destroying humans. Not really any cliffhangers, but should read all the books in order or you may not get all the details.

Liked this series a lot but I think it should just be split into two books not four. I read book one then just got this set because it was less money than buying desperately but as long or should I say short as they are, they really should be two good sized books. I loves nice thick book and hesitate to even read a really short book as they can cost as much as a long book can and I like long stories.
Anyways I did like this series although book one was a bit slower than I like. All in all it was well written and not boring at all. I liked the subjects in the stories and found it all to be in the realm of what could be dreamlike some books who go way out there and you know well... that could never happen. So yes, I did enjoy them and hope the next one comes out soon.

A new twist on an old tale. Creatus have been inhabiting the earth longer than man and came from another planet. Similar to humans in appearance, but also showing likenesses to the mythological vampires, they can jump building in one leap, are stronger than humans, and live much longer lives, giving the immortal tales an origin.

Some things about creatus that are interesting- they cannot eat cooked foods- which can actually makes them deathly ill or even kill them. They have both good and bad members- they have lived in secret, alongside humans for centuries- they also started the superhero rumors back when they 'watched' the humans and protected them against their own species who were evil. They also have a physical-almost chemical- reaction when they meet their life mate, or soul mate- called 'falling' and once a creatus falls, it is for life- they cannot live without their mates and will die for them or die without them.

This series was packed from the prequel to the last book. Each book focused on different members of the main families; however, the previous books' characters continued to make leading appearances throughout the series.

I definitely enjoyed reading this series and recommend it for any that enjoy supernatural/paranormal/Sci-fi type books!

Creatus are beings from another planet which landed on Earth over 4000 years ago. They have dark black hair, are tall most well over 6' with olive skin. They look like humans but can jump straight up to land on the roof of a 20 or 30 story building and then jump back down with no harm. Their stronger then any human and if they "Falling" in love for another creatus or human it is forever.
The individual 5 stories involve Creatus of the Ashton family, humans, police, the FBI and the NSC. Creatus work in all kinds of human employment but try to keep their special abilities to themselves. Unfortunately not all Creatus like humans some have out right hatred for them. That is theme of the 5 stories as which are well written, page turning, action packed with murders, attempted suicide, match making, falling in love, deception, mistrusting within families, honesty and faithfulness. I picked this up because I thought the synopsis sounded interesting and I was not disappointed. I did find that there was too much description/reflection for my tastes in spots but not enough to throw me off or make me stop reading. You can't go wrong picking up this series.

I read all four books (box set) in about 4 days. I just had to see where it was going. Hope you write fast Carmen ;-) Can't wait for more!

This is the first Carmen D'Sousa book I have ever read, and I absolutely fell in love. Be prepared though most series you read are shorter, so if your looking for a quick fast read, pick this one for another time when you have the time to really get into this. It is of course broken up into individual books so it does give you a natural stopping point if you need. I am a huge fan of Vampires and the Supernatural in general and read tons of books, but this has to be among my very favorites, and that's out of thousands of books that I'very read just under Vampires or Supernatural. The characters are all well developed and Carmen will keep you guessing, further developing the characters and your involvement with them with twists and turns. If you haven't read much in vamps & sups this is a great one to start with, I would recommend this series for everyone!

Lol it has been an interesting book set to read, the play on the mythical history, as they say, where there is smoke there’s fire, all myths had to have some spark of truth in them at one point it’s only the distance of time from the original point that truth changes to myth.
I’m glad there is a new book set coming out to follow up on this story :-)

I knew from the beginning I was going to enjoy this series, that's why I bought the boxed set...not least due to the great writing style, which drew me in immediately, and kept me there until the end of these four stories.

The premise is taken from myth and expanded in such a why as to become realistic and believable. The characters are excellently detailed giving the story a familiar feel, as it moves to the next in the series. It is full of action and mystery, with twists and suspense enough that it didn't become obvious and inevitable.

I don't give spoilers, but will say that if you love wonderful writing, a great plot, action and adventure - this set is for you...I am looking forward to the next in the series, I hope it doesn't take too long.

I enjoyed this series but it did take me a while to finish reading it. I found it to be a series that I could put down and in no hurry to pick up again. But I was determined to finish the series, also the twist in the last book kept me wanting to know more. Overall, I enjoyed it, but make sure you don't get distracted otherwise it can take a while to pick up again.
