First I have become quite fond of the cast of characters that Elizabeth Rain has created in the Snips and Snails Café books. She continues to add to who they are and what they can do. Again there appears that there was an accident or maybe murder three years ago when a wrecked car floats up in the river. Bertie has a strong reaction to the news, but doesn't say why. But Juli is on the case as evidence shows up over time. Who are the new visitors to the Lovelace Resort that are demanding and rude. In this book we find out who they are and why they are in Veil Falls. A rash of break-ins, planted evidence and missing evidence all fit in. Can Juli solve the case and help her friend and cook, Bertie? Get this book and see. These are very enjoyable reads and I highly recommend them.

Here is a delightful little cozy. The characters are surprisingly realistic and the setting is just plain adorable. I love the sarcastic banter and Bertie. I found this book to be intriguing and the time flew by. I recommend this book.

This is the 4th in the series, and I was just a little disappointed with it. I enjoy the characters and it is an easy read, but this one felt like it was hastily penned. There were a few miscues and errors that caused some confusion during reading. On the whole I enjoy this series and will give the 5th book a try, hoping the flaws in this one were a one-off.
