About this ebook

This paranormal cozy mystery will have you completely spellbound and laughing out loud.

Harper Jones has it all. Or so she thought, until a series of events sends her world spiraling out of control. In less than twenty-four hours, she loses her witch’s license, her job, and her fiancé.

Returning to her magical hometown of Whitefall Cove for Christmas with nothing but a suitcase and a broken heart, she’s determined to enjoy the holiday and start the new year afresh. Her plans go haywire fast when her old nemesis and high school bully Whitney Sims turns up dead, and Harper is implicated in her murder.

Between a detective who doesn’t appreciate her amateur sleuthing skills, running a bookstore she purchased on a whim, and studying to re-sit her witch’s exam, Harper has her hands full. She’s determined to find out whodunit, and clear her name, but she quickly finds the murderer has other plans.

Have fun with this cozy mystery. A realtor is found murdered at a building she'd just closed on. The solution involved a witch whose magic had been sanctioned by the witch council, a powerful old witch, a necromancer detective, and a couple assorted paranormal friends. The solving is twisty and the elements puzzling but fun as the mystery unravels with each new revelation. Altogether it's just a fun little mystery, perfect for a couple of hours diversion.

I was at the Dr's office reading this book and laughing uncontrollably. Everyone was staring, so once I regained control, I recommended this book. It's hilarious and the new take on the paranormal with a society where everyone is something, be it a mouse shifter, vampire or witch all living together is refreshing!

Loved every letter of this book. The author has a lovely tongue in cheek writing style which allows for some light moments during a murder who dunnit story. Read and enjoy

About the author

Best selling author Jane Hinchey loves to write cozy mysteries with plenty of laughs and mayhem along the way – who says murder can’t be fun? Her bestselling Ghost Detective series combines all of this into an intriguing melting pot of paranormal danger, fast-paced (but not too dangerous) action, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek snarky humor.

Jane lives in the mortal realm with her non-paranormal man, two cats whose paranormal status is yet to be determined (she did catch them trying to open a portal in the kitchen that one time), and a turtle named Squirt (who is massive!).

Sometimes, when the supernatural chaos calls for a different kind of story, she writes under the name Zahra Stone, where the characters you meet are as sexy as they are deadly.
